Skantzoura is an uninhabited Greek island in the Aegean Sea, part of the Northern Sporades chain.
It is located 12 nautical miles Southeast of Alonissos. In Roman times it was known as Scandira. Recently (2005), Skantzoura was in the news as immigration authorities found 47 illegal aliens (mostly Pakistanis and Iraqis) abandoned on the island without food, water or other supplies.
