Political Committee of National Liberation (Greek Πολιτική Επιτροπή Εθνικής Απελευθέρωσης), abbreviated PEEA) was the government formed in the mountainous village of Viniani, Evritania prefecture, on March 10, 1944, while Greece was still under Axis occupation.
This "government of the mountains", as people called it, consisted of Colonel Evripidis Bakirtzis as Prime Minister and Manolis Mantakas, Giorgos Siantos, Kostas Gavriilidis and Elias Tsirimokos. It was one of three governments that existed at the same time claiming to be the legitimate government of Greece - the quisling government in Athens and the government-in-exile in Cairo being the other two.
