Constantinos Makrides is a Cypriot football midfielder, currently playing for APOEL Nicosia in the Cyprus Football A Division.
Makrides was born on January 13, 1982 in Nicosia. He started his career in the youth academy of Apollon Lemesos. He transferred to APOEL in 2004.
Makrides is considered one of the up-and-coming stars in Cypriot football. He has scored some spectacular goals (e.g. chipping the goalkeeper of Omonia from the midway line; picking up the ball in his own half and passing the entire Maccabi Tel-Aviv defence before slotting home in the UEFA Cup, etc.).
Makrides has been capped 33 times by the Cyprus National Football Team.
