Ano Syros

Ano Syros is a settlement on the island of Syros, in the Cyclades complex of Greece.

It is located just northwest of the island's capital Ermoupolis. Ano Syros was built in the 12th century AD and still retains much of its Medieaval character. It is the birthplace of laika composer Markos Vamvakaris.
