Gyaros (Greek: Γυάρος) is an arid and unpopulated Greek island of the northern Cyclades near in the islands Andros and Tinos, with an area of 23 square kilometres. It has been a point of exile for leftist political dissidents in Greece from 1948 until 1974. At least, 22,000 people were exiled or imprisoned on the island during that time.

The Greek government often uses the island for strategic exercises and maintains the structures that are on the island as a memorial to those who suffered there.
