Polyaigos

Polyaigos (Greek Πολύαιγος, meaning "many goats") is a small uninhabited island in the Aegean Sea, southeast of Kimolos, in the Cyclades.

In ancient times, the island was a cause of a long-standing dispute between Kimolos and Melos on account of its mineral resources. Finally, in 338 BC, it was awarded to Kimolos by an Argos court.

Polyaigos was populated in older days as ruins of houses attest. A well preserved church, built in 1622 and dedicated to Theotokos, still stands.
