Symi is a town on the Greek island of the same name in the southern Aegean Dodecanese complex.

Symi is situated on the northern part of the island and serves as its main harbour. It comprises two areas: Gyalos - along the coast - and Ano Simi which extends towards the hill atop of which lies a Mediaeval Venetian castle. The two are connected by the "Kali Strata" a 500-step road.

There are two museums in the town: the Maritime Museum in Gyalos and the Archaeological and Folklore Museum in Ano Symi.

It was in Symi that the Italian authorities signed the surrender of the Dodecanese complex to the Allies, paving the way for their re-unification with Greece.
