Charalambos Garganourakis is a Cretan musician - a lyra player and a singer.

Graganourakis was born on June 28, 1946, in Agios Thomas, Iraklio prefecture, Crete. He started playing the lyra at a very young age, accompanying Cretan singers or singing himself.

He first broke into the recording industry in 1965 with «Εχάρισά σου την καρδιά» (I gave you a heart) - a 45 rpm single (Nina Records). He has since recorded many more songs and is the main singer of composer Yiannis Markopoulos' songs.

Garganourakis has extensively toured abroad, including the US and Australia.
