Paramythia is a town and a municipality of Thesprotia prefecture, Epirus, Greece.
The population of the town was 2862 inhabitants, while that of the municipality 7859, according to the 2001 census.
Paramythia was built in Byzantine times (ca. 1000 AD) on the site of ancient Euroea. It fell under the domination of Serbs, Albanians and Turks. It was liberated on February 23, 1913 during the First Balkan War.
On September 29, 1943, ethnic Albanians ("Chams") and German troops executed 49 inhabitants of Paramythia.
