  • May 13: German and Bulgarian forces invade eastern Macedonia and occupy Roupel fort after a brief firefight with Greek border guards.

  • December 1: French and British forces land in Piraeus to occupy strategic posts in that city as well as Athens. They are met in ambush by royalist forces and battles take place with casualties on both sides. After their departure, a pogrom breaks out against Venizelists throughout Greece. These events went down in history as the November Events (Noemvriana) because they took place on November 18 (OS).
