Events
- 1822: During the Greek War of Independence, a Greek flotilla under Andreas Miaoulis defeats a Turkish one under Karapepe Ali at Patra Bay.
- 1827: The National Assembly at Troezen elect Ioannis Kapodistrias as first Governor of Greece.
- 1913: The Battle of Bizani in the First Balkan War ends in Greek victory. Greek casualties number 812 dead and 1,500 wounded.

Deaths
- 1960: Vasilis Logothetidis, actor.
- 1994: Triantafyllos Siaperas, former chess champion. In 1967 he wrote one of the first books about chess in Greece.
