Giorgos Vaitsis was a Greek journeyman football forward of the 1980s - 1990s era.
Vaitsis was born on August 1, 1967, in Arta, Epirus, Greece. He played for Anagennisis Karditsa until he made the jump to Olympiakos in 1985. He moved on to Panachaiki in 1987 only to return to Olympiakos (1991) before he returned to Panachaiki (1994). His career at the Patra outfit ended in 1999.
Afterwards, Vaitsis played for Panelefsiniakos, Ethnikos Piraeus and Agios Dimitrios Patra before ending his career at local club Mandraikos in 2003.
Internationally, he was a member of the Greek Under-21 side that won second place in Europe in 1988. He was also capped once by the senior squad, on November 11, 1992, in a 1994 World Cup qualifier against Hungary (0-0) in Thessaloniki.
