Stavros Paravas was a Greek stage and film actor.
Paravas was born in Athens in 1937. He studied at the Drama School of Kostas Michailidis and made his debut in the theatre in the play "The first lie" («Πρώτο ψέμα»). Afterwards, he played alongside Dinos Eliopoulos and Vilma Kyrou.
He made his screen debut in 1960, in the film "Christina" («Χριστίνα»). He became well-known in the 1960s playing secondary roles usually as a "nerd" type or a "mangas". At the same time he continued playing in the theatre in satyrical and comic plays such as "Dennis the Menace" and "Dirlada".
Later he appeared in more serious roles in the theatre and made his debut on TV. His best known films include:
- The smart bird («Το έξυπνο πουλί»),
- Fifis the untouchable («Φίφης ο αχτύπητος»)
- The fool of the Princess («Το κοροϊδάκι της πριγκιπέσσας»).
He died on Monday, September 15, 2008 of heart failure.
