• January 6: An earthquake strikes Volos causing material damage.

February

• February 16: Workers and Policemen clash in Thessaloniki. The number of dead and injured reaches 100.

June

• June 6: PM Eleftherios Venizelos becomes the target of an assassination attempt for the second time in his life. His car is riddled with bullets but the Cretan politician escapes unhurt.
• June 8: Eleftherios Venizelos is interviewed by the police concerning the assassination attempt against his life. He accuses the government and especially Interior Minister, Ioannis Rallis, as responsible.

October

• October 5: PM Eleftherios Venizelos ends his 10-day good will visit to Turkey.

August

• August 10: Striking lignite mine workers in Aliveri clash with the police. Six persons are wounded.
