- 1821: Alexander Ypsilantis crossed the Prut River with Georgakis Olympios and others and started the Greek Revolution in Romania.
- 1863: The National Assembly elected Prince George of Denmark as the new King of Greece.
- 1910: Two farmers were shot dead by soldiers at Kileler in Thessaly, as demonstrations broke out in the area.
