National Party - Hellenes
National Party - Hellenes is a Greek political party founded on June 4, 2020, by Elias Kasidiaris, a former MP and spokesman of the far-right Golden Dawn.
The party was founded originally as "Hellenes for the Fatherland" after Golden Dawn's failure to elect MPs in the 2019 national elections. Its platform is similar to that of Golden Dawn though Kasidiaris has attempted to portray it as a nationalist, conservative party along the lines of Italy's Liga Nord and France's Rassemblement national.
On February 8, 2023, the Hellenic Parliament passed a law banning parties from the legislature whose leaders have been convicted of serious crimes and are deemed a potential threat to democracy, in effect banning National Party - Hellenes from contesting the upcoming national election.
