Christos Charidimos

Christos Charidimos was a Greek master of the "shadow theatre" (Greek: Θέατρο Σκιών) which brought to life the humourous adventures of Karagiozis, a wretched hunch-backed Greek, who tries to make his way through life in the Ottoman Empire, often with hair-brained schemes that, more often than not, backfire.

Charidimos was born in 1895 and started his career in 1913. He was the premier shadow theatre artist in Piraeus until his retirement in 1950. He died in 1970.

Charidimos two sons Georgios and Sotiris continued their father's art.
