Guillermo Hoyos

Guillermo Angel Hoyos (born in Argentina June 6, 1963) is a football manager recently released from Aris Thessaloniki.

Career

As a player, Hoyos started his career at Talleres de Córdoba, before being transferred to Boca Juniors were he stayed for five years till 1990. Before retiring he also played for CA Banfield, Chacarita Juniors, Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in Argentina and for Corporación Deportiva Everton de Viña del Mar in Chile.

He was not capped for Argentina although he was member of Argentina's U21 team in 1979 playing alongside with Diego Maradona.

As a coach, he developed a warm relationship with his players at Aris achieving very good results but was replaced by the Salonica club's management, in January 2007, with Spaniard Quique Hernandez.

He moved on to Atromitos Athens for the 2008 football season and the following year to PAS Giannina.

In 2009 he took over the reins at Panserraikos, moving on the following year (May 2010) to Cyprus and Anorthosis Ammochostos. He was released in November of that same year.

Hoyos has since returned to South America to coach Club Bolivar in Bolivia.
