Saktouria is a village of southern Rethymno prefecture, 49km south of the city of Rethymno. Its population is 311 inhabitants.

On May 4, 1944, the village was destroyed by the German occupation troops who imprisoned all males over 15 years of age and exiled the rest. On May 16, 16 of those arrested were executed.
