Michalis Chrysochoidis is a Greek politician, the current Minister of Public Order.
Chrysochoidis was born οn October 31, 1955, near Veria, to parents from Asia Minor. He studied Law at the University of Thessaloniki.
He became involved in politics and was first elected to the Hellenic Parliament in 1989, under the banner of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK).
Chrysochoidis has served twice as Minister of Public Order, under PM Costas Simitis and under PM Giorgos Papandreou.
He is married with three children.
