Founded in the southern Salonica suburb of Kalamaria, Apollon (team is named after Apollo) are considered the club of Pontian Greeks who left their Black Sea homeland in 1922 and resettled in Salonica. Colours: Red and black. They have participated several times in the Greek A' National League but have yet to achieve any distinctions.
