January 22: A decision to establish an agrarian bank to aid the farmers is made by the Greek government.
January 23: The Greek Government publishes the law that adopts the Gregorian Calendar.

March 1: The Julian Calendar is officially replaced by the Gregorian in Greece. February 16 becomes March 1.
March 11: The "Alexander Z" sinks in the Saronic Gulf. 150 sailors drown.
March 19: Aris Thessaloniki play their first match and defeat Iraklis 2-0.

April 9: Greece protests the treatment of the POWs of the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922).
April 23: Aris defeat YMCA of Thessaloniki 5-0 to win the 1st Championship of Thessaloniki.

August 30: Italian forces bombard and occupy Corfu in retaliation for the death of kidnapped Italian general Tellini by bandits. 20 Greeks die in the bombardment.

September 20: Patriarch Meletius IV resigns the Ecumenical throne amid growing political pressure.
September 27: The Italian forces that had occupied Corfu evacuate the island. Greece is forced to pay an indemnity to the Italian government.

October 9: 5,000 mostly Greek-owned businesses are shut down in Constantinople.
October 27: An attempted royalist coup by Ioannis Metaxas, G. Ziras and others is put down.

November 12: Greek American World War I hero, George Dilboy, is reburied with full military honours in Arlington National Cemetery. The Medal of Honor winner originally was buried in Alatsata, Smyrna, Asia Minor, but his grave was desecrated in the aftermath of the seizure of that city by Turkish troops.
