- 1057: Michael VI abdicates the Byzantine throne in favour of Isaac I Komnenos.

- 1956: EOKA attack the General Hospital of Nicosia and free Polykarpos Georkadjis who was being held by the British.

- 1935: Grigoris Lambrakis breaks the Greek record for the long jump with 7.15m.
- 1984: Mimis Domazos' farewell football game. Panathinaikos - Boca Juniors 2-3 at OAKA Stadium in front of 50,000 spectators. Domazos asked the coach to replace him with Spyros Livathinos at the 78th minute of the game.
- 2003: Dusan Bajevic reaches 300 appearances in AEK's bench against Ionikos and becomes the coach with the longest service in one team, with a total of 194 wins, 62 draws and 44 losses.
