The Cypriot Football A Division or Cyprus Championship First Division (in Greek Παγκύπριο Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the highest football league in Cyprus. At present, 14 clubs compete in the league, playing each other team in the league twice, once at home and once away. At the end of the season, three clubs are relegated to Cypriot Second Division, the second-level league, to be replaced by the top three teams from that league.
The league is entitled to 1 entrant in the UEFA Champions League by the champion, which enters the 1st qualifying round qualifying round. The winner of the Cyprus Cup automatically enters the UEFA Cup first qualifying round, as well as the runner-up team. If the cup winner is champion as well, the losing cup finalist is granted a UEFA Cup berth. If cup winner is qualified for Europe by their league position, the third-place team in Cypriot First Division qualifies for UEFA Cup.
