Babis Xanthopoulos

Babis Xanthopoulos is a former Greek football player of the 1970s - 1980s era.

Xanthopoulos was born on August 29, 1956. He played for Iraklis Thessaloniki from 1974 until 1987. In 1987 he transferred to Pierikos where he ended his career.

During his playing career, Xanthopoulos was capped 25 times by the National Football Team of Greece and was a member of the squad that competed in the finals of Euro 1980 in Italy.

After his playing days were over, Xanthopoulos became involved in the clothing manufacture industry in Greece and Bulgaria. He is currently also involved in administrative duties with Iraklis' basketball and football sections.
