Sigri (Greek Σίγρι) is a settlement on the island of Lesbos.
It is situated 94km west of Mytilene, on the westernmost point of Lesbos.
Its name is probably derived from the word sigouro (σίγουρο) which mean safe, due to its bay which has served as a safe haven for boats over the years.
Sigri was built by Turkish settlers and had a majority-Turkish population until the exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey in 1924.
