- March 30: The bandit gang of Christos and Takos Arvanitakis kidnaps several British tourists and an Italian diplomat at Pikermi.

- April 6: Greek soldiers attack the Arvanitakis gang. Four British and Italian hostages are killed. This event goes down in history as the Massacre at Dilesi.
