- January 9: Crown Prince Paul of Greece marries Princess Frederika in Athens.
- January 22: Greece defeat Palestine 3-1 in Tel Aviv (Kleanthis Vikelidis 2, Antonis Migiakis 1). It is the first away victory for the National Football Team. From 1929 till the beginning of the war Greece played only 32 matches.
