- 1913: The first massacre at Doxato took place during the Second Balkan War, as Bulgarian troops killed 650 inhabitants before burning it to the ground.
- 1930: The Law School of the University of Thessaloniki was established.
- 1972: The Military Government of Greece passed a "quickie divorce" law.
- Deaths: Lakis Petropoulos (1996), football player and coach.
