Yiannis Anastasiou

Yiannis Anastasiou (born March 5, 1973 in Arta) is a former Greek footballer. He formerly played for PAS Preveza, Ethnikos Piraeus and OFI in Greece, Anderlecht in Belgium and Roda JC, Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam and ended his career at FC Omniworld in the Netherlands.

Anastasiou was capped five time for the Greek National football team without scoring.

In July 2008 he took a position with top Greek club Panathinaikos as an assistant to Dutch coach Henk ten Cate. In 2013, he was promoted to head coach of the greens.

Anastasiou quit as head coach of Panathinaikos on November 2, 2015.

In the following years Anastasiou coached his former club Roda JC, KV Kortrijk (Belgium), Omonia and Atromitos for short stints as he was sacked three times and stepped in during the season in Cyprus.
