Giorgos Orfanos, is a Greek politician and, until recently, Deputy Minister of Culture with Responsibilities for Sports.

Orfanos was born in Thessaloniki on June 11, 1953. He studied at the civil and mechanical engineering at the Thessaloniki Polytechnic. He is a member of New Democracy's central committee and was first elected to Parliament in 1996. Orfanos headed ND's culture and sports sector while the party was the main opposition, whereas in March 2003 he was voted to the party's political council. Orfanos is married and has two daughters and a son.
