Vasilis Torosidis is a Greek football right-side wingback who currently plays for Olympiakos and the Greek National Football Team.

Torosidis was born on June 10, 1985 in Xanthi. After spending 4.5 seasons at SKODA Xanthi, he moved to Olympiakos in January of 2007. His first goal with Olympiakos was scored at Toumba Stadium against PAOK FC on 21/01/2007 and opened the way for a crucial away win. In a relatively short time he has managed to become one of the favourite players of the fans of Olympiakos as the passion he shows during every match is great.

Torosidis has been capped with the National Football Team of Greece and has, on occasion, even played for them on the left side. On June 17, 2010, he scored the winning goal in Greece's first World Cup Finals victory (2-1 over Nigeria).
