The Minister for Economy of Greece (Greek Υπουργός Οικονομίας) was the government minister responsible for the running of the Ministry of National Economy. The post was merged, on October 24, 2001, with the Ministry for Finance, creating the Ministry for Economy and Finance. It re-emerged in October 2009, with additional responsibilities, as the Ministry for the Economy, Competition and Merchant Marine. One year later it was renamed the Ministry for Regional Development and Competition.
