Tzavelas was the name of a family of noted leaders of the people of Souli in Epirus.
Its members include:
- Lambros Tzavelas (1745 - 1792) - Souliote leader who died fighting the forces of Ali Pasha.
- Moscho Tzavelas (1750 - 1803) - the wife of Lambros. She led 400 Souliote women against the forces of Ali Pasha in 1792.
- Fotos Tzavelas (1770 - 1809) - eldest son of Lambros and Moscho. He led the Souliotes after the death of his father
- Kitsos Tzavelas (1800 - 1855) - second son of Fotos. Fought in the Greek War of Independence and later served as Prime Minister of Greece.
- Nikolaos Tzavelas (1790 - 1872) - eldest son of Fotos. Fought in the Greek War of Independence and later became a Major General in the Greek Army.
- Spyros Tzavelas (1806 - 1822) - son of Nikolaos. Fought in the Greek War of Independence and was killed in the Battle of Peta.
- Georgios Tzavelas (d. 1827) - son of Fotos. Fought in the Greek War of Independence and was killed in battle in April of 1827.
