Sotirios Sotiropoulos was a Greek politician of the 19th Century who briefly served as Prime Minister of Greece.
Sotiropoulos was born in 1831 in Nafplio. He studied Law and, after the overthrow of King Otto, was elected to the National Assembly of 1863. The following year he was appointed Minister of Finance. He was reappointed to the same post in 1865, 1870, 1876, 1877 and 1880. In May 1893, he formed a government that was brought down months later on a no-confidence vote.
Sotiropoulos wrote a book "31 days of captivity" after being abducted at Filiatra, Messenia by the bandit gang of Lafazanis.
