- 1911: The Battleship Georgios Averof is commissioned by the Hellenic Navy.
- 1946: A referendum is held on the return of King George II. According to the official results, 68.3% of the populace approve his return.
- 1984: Evangelos Averoff resigns as head of the New Democracy Party. He is replaced by Constantine Mitsotakis who defeats Kostis Stephanopoulos in a special vote of party officials.
- 2010: A new law comes into force in Greece banning smoking in enclosed public spaces.
