Giorgos Mitsibonas was a football defender for AE Larisa during their heyday in the Greek League.
Mitsibonas was born on November 1, 1962, in Tsaritsani. He joined AE Larisa in 1981 from local club Oikonomos Tsaritsani, winning the Cup in 1985. In 1989, he joined PAOK. He moved on to Olympiakos in 1993 before returning to AE Larisa to end his career in 1995.
Mitsibonas was capped 26 times by the Greek National Football Team scoring 1 goal.
He died on September 13, 1997, in a car crash.
