- 1428: Future emperor Constantine XI Palaeologus marries Maddalena Tocco, his first wife.
- 1863: France, Britain and Russia sign an agreement with Denmark concerning the election of Prince George as King of Greece.
- 1920: The Greek Army enters Panormos during the first Greek offensive of the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922)
- 1927: A major earthquake (7.1 on the Richter scale) strikes Laconia.
- 1946: The first eleven special military courts are set up in Greece following the Emergency Measures Act of June 17.
- 1963: Aristotle Onassis acquires Skorpios island off the coast of Lefkada.
