- 1829: Richard Church resigns as Commander in Chief of Greek revolutionary forces.
- 1898: 700 Greeks and 15 Britons are slain by Turkish irregulars at Heraklio, Crete.
- 1972: Vasilis Lymperis' death sentence is carried out; Vasilis Lymperis is the last person to be executed in Greece.
- 1993: Vandals destroy the Greek cemetery of Neochori in Istanbul.

- 1973: Apostolos Kathiniotis breaks the Greek record in the long jump with 7.78m.
- 2024: Emmanouil Karalis breaks the Greek record for the pole vault with a 6.00m performance at the Diamond League competition in Chorzow, Poland.
