March 5: Ethnic Greek Fredi Beleri, who was elected mayor of Chimara, Northern Epirus in 2023, is sentenced to two years in jail by an Albanian court on trumped-up charges of vote buying.

April 14: Stefanos Tsitsipas defeats Casper Ruud 6-1 6-4 to win his third Monte Carlo Masters title in four years.
April 18: Olympiakos qualify for the semi-finals of the European Conference League after defeating Fenerbahce 3-2 on penalties. Goalkeeper Kostas Tzolakis is the hero of the match saving three penalties.
April 22: Olympiakos' youth team defeat AC Milan 3-0 to take the UEFA Youth League Cup, marking the first time a Greek team has ever won an UEFA competition.

May 29: Olympiakos defeat Fiorentina 1-0 (aet) to take the Conference League Cup, marking the first time a Greek team has ever won a senior UEFA competition.

June 9: In the elections held for the European Parliament, New Democracy receives 28.31% of the votes against 14.91% of SYRIZA and 12.79% of PASOK. Jailed Northern Epirus mayor, Freddy Beleris, is elected MEP under the flag of New Democracy.

August 4: Lefteris Petrounias earns a bronze medal in the men's rings at the Paris Olympiad. It is his third medal in as many Olympic Games.

November 21: Two defections from SYRIZA leave PASOK as the main opposition party to New Democracy in the Hellenic Parliament.
November 24: MP Socrates Famellos is elected the new leader of SYRIZA.
