- 740: A strong earthquake rocked Constantinople causing many deaths and much damage.
- 1912: The Greek army liberated Thessaloniki
- 1929: Eleftherios Venizelos inaugurated the Marathon dam, which later helps form Lake Marathon.
- 1971: Mitsos Partsalidis, Babis Drakopoulos and 30 other members of the KKE-Interior were arrested.
- 1986: 29-year old teacher, Charalambos Blionas, was killed in Larisa when he is hit with a flare during the football game between AE Larisa and PAOK.
