The Hellenic Republic Ministry of Culture (official name) or Greek Ministry of Culture (Greek Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού) is "the governmental body responsible for cultural heritage and the Arts in Greece". It was founded in September 1971. In 2009, it was expanded into the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In 2015 it was absorbed into the Ministry for Culture, Education and Religion.
