- January 9: Crown Prince Paul of Greece marries Princess Frederika in Athens.
- January 22: Greece defeat Palestine 3-1 in Tel Aviv (Kleanthis Vikelidis 2, Antonis Migiakis 1). It is the first away victory for the National Football Team. From 1929 till the beginning of the war Greece played only 32 matches.

- March 25: The National Football Team of Greece suffer their worst defeat ever losing 11-1 to Hungary in Budapest. The half-time score was 7-0.
May
- May 1: Panathinaikos player, Lysandros Dikaiopoulos, collides with Tryfon Tzanetis of AEK. He will die in hospital two days later.

- June 2: The RHS Vasilissa Olga is launched.
- June 12: Panathinaikos go ahead of Olympiakos 4-0 by the 59th minute of play but Yiannis Vazos proceeds to score 4 goals in the remaining 31 minutes to equalise.
