- 1814: The "Friendly Society" (Filiki Eteria) was founded in Odessa.
- 1943: Greek EKKA guerrilas attacked and defeated a group of German soldiers (5 dead , 20 wounded) at Skaloula.
- 1980: The Greek Ministry of Education announced the abolition of entrance exams from Primary into Secondary schools.
