1913: The Treaty of London concludes the First Balkan War.
1918: The Battle of Skra, fought in the Macedonia front in World War I, ends in Greek victory over the Bulgarians.
1941: Manolis Glezos and Apostolos Santas take down the German flag from the Acropolis, Athens.
1969: The first Greek policewomen go on duty.
1990: A liver transplant is performed for the first time in Greece.
2021: Parliamentary elections are held in Cyprus. The governing party, DISY, gathers the largest share of the vote - 27.77% - followed by AKEL at 22.34%, however both parties suffer noticeable losses as smaller parties make gains.

1897: First athletics championships organized by Panellinios. The games (held for 2 days in Fokianos Gymnasium) include track-and-field events, wrestling, fencing and weightlifting.
1975: Dimitris Patronis breaks the Greek record in the high jump with 2.22m.

1999: Vassilis Polymeros and Panagiotis Miliotis take first place at the World Rowing Championship in Belgium.
1999: Led by coach Dusan Bajevic, Olympiakos win their third consecutive Greek league title. Ethnikos become the sole team in Greek first division history not to win a single game.
2016: Olympiakos defeat Panathinaikos 82-81, after two overtime periods, to clinch the 2016 basketball championship.
2026: George Franks breaks the Greek record for the 400m with a 44.88 performance at the NCAA Division I meet in Kentucky, USA.
