January 16: PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis nominates Hellenic Parliament Speaker, Konstantinos Tasoulas, as Greece’s next president.
January 25: MP Konstantinos Tasoulas receives 160 votes in the first round of voting, in the Hellenic Parliament, for President of Greece.
January 26: Thousands of Greeks protest throughout the country and abroad demanding justice for the train crash of February 28, 2023 at Tempe.
January 31: Emmanouil Karalis breaks the Greek indoor record in the pole vault with a 5.90 performance.
