  • November 3: AEK defeat World Champions Inter 2-1. AEK's goals were scored by Andreas Stamatiadis and Kostas Nikolaidis.
  • November 10: Panathinaikos draw 0-0 with Ferencvaros, in Budapest, for the Champions' Cup. The away draw was considered a great result as Ferencvaros were very powerful at the time.
  • November 17: Panathinaikos lose 3-1 to Ferencvaros, at home, and are eliminated from the Champions' Cup. The disappointing loss led to dissension and infighting within the Greek squad.
