  • July 14: Basil III is elected Ecumenical Patriarch.
  • July 26: PAOK gives their first football match by defeating Iraklis in Thessaloniki with 2-1. The four-leaf clover, on the players' shirt, will be replaced by the two-headed eagle on 20/3/1929, when the team will merge with AEK Thessaloniki
